  • A brand logo is the true identity of a brand and represents its vision or particular characteristics. Branding as a wholesome entity has changed over the years with the advent of technology and other digital channels. Today, every consumer wants to connect with the Brand and get associated with a popular brand. In this article, we discuss 4 Benefits To Brand Value That Is Provided By A Logo

    The popularity of a brand has everything to do with performance and much more to do with the visual presence in the era of Social Media. About 96% of people who are talking about a Brand on Social Media had no experience with the Brand itself. Brand Logo has become such an important factor that 67% of small businesses are ready to pay $500 for a logo design.

    There are always several changes in the choices and tastes of consumers and markets tend to shift accordingly. But, Brand Logo is defined by certain attributes like typography, layout, patterns, and color that always attract consumers towards a Brand. Branding through a logo can drive the consumers towards a Brand for years and it needs redefinition over the years to keep the consumers engaged with the brand.

    Just think about Apple’s logo and one can come up with three words-accessible, flexible and innovative. That is the magic a logo can have on a Brand’s consumers. Color is an important factor to consider as color can represent the vision of a brand without even iterating or typing a single word.

    Logos can be made colorful and creativity can be unleashed but the fact that 95% of top brands designing their logos with only two colors proves it otherwise. The choice of colors is really important for your logo design and with a 35% blue color aces the choice of brand colors from top brands. 

    Thus it is important to understand the importance of a shared vision with a brand’s consumers to incorporate the same while designing the logo.

    2. Improved Value

    Any brand that offers good value to the customers is bound to have loyal customers and this is where a brand’s logo should be able to reassert the same authenticity that a brand offers. Creating value and improving value are two different things. Any brand can insert a sense of value through products and services. But, it is the logo that will stay with the customers and not the whole brand.

    An authentic brand cannot have a cheap logo that can degrade its value among consumers. Because 91% of customers are bound to buy from an authentic brand than an ordinary brand and that is why a logo should be designed to improve the brand value and authenticity among its customers.

    3. Loyal Customers

    Customer loyalty is ensured through effective product performance and customer service and yet a brand’s logo can improve the level of customer loyalty. Having consumer loyalty is considered 10x more important than a new single purchase.

    To induce such a level of customer loyalty, the design of the brand’s logo should be consistent over all the channels of promotion, any variation in the logo design or even color can repel customers from the brand. As 90% of customers expect to have the same branding over all the platforms and channels. 

    Brand loyalty and brand image have a correlation that can be exploited through a well-designed logo. A logo that makes a connection with its brand image can be a sign of brand-loyal customers admires.

    4. An identity that lasts forever

    A brand logo identifies a product of any brand via the use of a mark, flag, symbol or signature. A brand identity is the visual aspects that form part of the overall brand. To make this more effective and user-friendly, a brand logo should be kept simplistic and identifiable.

    It is important to structure the design of your brand’s logo by building blocks from the ground-up and incorporate every important aspect of a true corporate identity into the brand’s logo. Typography is another important factor as the name of your brand should be integrated into the design like they were made for each other. The length and text size also makes quite a difference in the logo design.

    A simplistic approach will make the brand identity last forever with the consumers and make the logo associative with the brand identity. It is a collection of all the things that a brand can create to assert a certain brand image in the consumer’s mind. To create a forever lasting and effective brand logo, these four factors should be envisaged:

Rian is a legend creating so many comic book logos and illustrations I remember seeing as a kid, as I was a big comic book fan especially Marvel and DC comics.

He's worked extensively for both the British and American comic industries as both designer, typographer and illustrator, notably creating many logo designs for DC and Marvel.

Logos including Batman and Robin, Batgirl, the X-Men, Captain America, Wolverine, The Spirit, The Invisibles, Shade the Changing Man, The Atom and more.
